I just showed Nanay some old pictures uploaded in Facebook by one of her nieces. I wondered what, where and how much their make-up was back then because they all looked pretty in photos.
Me: Nay, magkano make-up nyo noon?
Nanay: Hindi naman kami nagmemake-up. Walang pambili. Pulbos lang ako at lipistik (walang halong eksaherada).
Me: Anong pulbos?
Nanay: Johnson!
Me: Baby powder?
Nanay: Oo. Minsan Shiseido.
Me: ANG MAHAL KAYA NG SHISEIDO!
Nanay: Oo, pero yun ang hiyang ko eh.
Me in my head: Walang pera pero Shiseido ang powder? Tutyal!
